I read compulsively, eclectically and fannishly.

Currently reading

Quand un roi perd la France (Les rois maudits, #7)
Maurice Druon
George Steiner
The Captive & The Fugitive
Marcel Proust, C.K. Scott Moncrieff, Terence Kilmartin, D.J. Enright
Thor/Iron Man: God Complex - Dan Abnett, Scot Eaton, Andy Lanning A reliable system for generating four-issue miniseries:

1.) Choose two superheroes you want to have fight together.
2.) Identify their strongest points of comparison/contrast and select a villain who highlights these to pit them against.
3.) Make sure to include some kind of misunderstanding or conflict so that the two of them fight each other at some point. A magically-induced conflict is good, because it's easily dismissed after you've gotten an iconic image for the cover.
4.) Let them team up again for the happy ending.

As formulas for stories go, it's not terrible, although I prefer the version that begins with 'Choose two superheroes you want to have make out'.
